Nicole Ari Parker was born in New York City. She is an American actor in stage and films. Her most notable role was that of Teri her passionate lawyer Teri Jospehson, on the Showtime show Soul Food. Growing up in Baltimore, Maryland she showed an aptitude for acting in her childhood and received the Best Actress prize at a Maryland high-school competition. Contractor who was brought up by his parents from Nigeria and Mumbai before he turned seven, had traveled around across the globe and lived through various cultures while growing up. She attended boarding school in London between seven and nine, after which her family moved towards Toronto, Canada, where she lived the bulk of her childhood and young adulthood. In 2002, Canadian critics praised her performance in 92 productions of the play. She was offered the opportunity to enroll in the Stratford Conservatory. It allows only eight males and four women to study the art of classical theater. Contractor was ecstatically accepted. Her place was guaranteed for the following play, and she landed Hermia's part for the role of Hermia A Midsummer Night's Dream.
